QDX privacy policy

QDX orders laboratory tests for healthcare practices and returns their results. This policy says what we collect and how we use it.

What we collect

  • From practices: the practice's details, its users' names and email addresses, its clinicians' credentials and the ways it chooses to receive results (email addresses, phone and fax numbers and system addresses).
  • For each order: the patient information the practice provides and the lab needs, the order and its results.

How we use it

Only to place orders, deliver results the ways the practice chose, bill the practice and keep the service working and secure. Patient information is handled as protected health information and shared only with the laboratory performing the test, the destinations the practice chose and the service providers that deliver to them (such as the fax, phone and email carriers).

Phone numbers and text messages

Phone and fax numbers are used only to deliver what the practice asked for. Mobile numbers and consent to receive texts are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the SMS terms for how to stop texts.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, secrets are stored encrypted and access is limited to what the service needs. Records are kept as long as required to provide the service and to meet legal and medical record-keeping obligations.
